FAQs: E-receipting

Can I access my giving information online?

Yes. You can view and download a receipt for a gift of any size using our website. You can access individual receipts or create a summary report of your giving. Click here to get started.

If you are new to using the secure portion of our website, you will need your Constituent ID to register. To find your Constituent ID, reference any mailing panel or contribution card you received from KSU Foundation or the K-State Alumni Association. If you need assistance, contact the stewardship team at 800-432-1578.

Why did KSU Foundation change its receipting process?

The KSU Foundation have moved to e-mail receipting for most gifts. This allows us to quickly acknowledge gifts in a more fiscally and environmentally responsible way.

You say “most gifts” will get an e-mail receipt. Which gifts get an e-mail receipt, and which won’t?

Regardless of the size of your gift, if we have an e-mail address on file for you, we will send you an e-mail receipt. If we don’t have an e-mail address on file for you, we will send you a paper receipt in the mail if your gift was $250 or more. Special giving situations, including gifts-in-kind, will also receive a paper receipt.

Why don’t you send paper receipts for gifts under $250?

The $250 level is a natural cutoff for a number of reasons. Under IRS guidelines, you are not required to have a receipt from a charitable organization for gifts under $250 in order to deduct the gift. Credit card statements and receipts, cancelled checks and receipts for cash can be used to document gifts under $250. (See IRS publication for more details). We felt moving to e-mail receipting for these gifts would allow us to continue our tradition of receipting gifts under $250, while being more fiscally and environmentally responsible.

Will my e-mail be used for other than e-receipts?
