Support Friends of McCain
McCain Auditorium has a long history of being the home for the live performing arts to many K-Staters and surrounding communities – audiences, artists, students, faculty, and staff – and we take responsibility now more than ever to contain the spread of COVID-19. We have postponed the 2020-2021 McCain Performance Series until at least January 2021.
Our Performance Series and its outreach and education programs are not funded by the university or State of Kansas. The program is supported entirely by ticket revenue, donors and sponsors. While the pandemic has thrown a wrench into our plans, we are confident we'll get through this because of friends like you.
Until we can again program blockbuster shows with full houses at McCain, we are working to make campus and community impact with a virtual series, entitled McCain Connected, that ranges from streaming live and pre-recorded exclusive performances to a hybrid series that may see limited live shows with reduced audiences. This reopening strategy may also include socially distanced outdoor shows. Thanks to our Friends of McCain donors, many events will be free. Friends of McCain members will receive priority notification and first access to live shows with limited audience capacities based on their support. Thanks to our partnership with BroadwayHD, friends who give $250 or more will be given a special thank you gift: a FREE 3-month subscription to BroadwayHD.
Your investment directly helps sustain our new virtual series and readiness to open up for live audiences once it is safe to do so. Whatever level of support you choose, your tax-deductible contribution will help McCain Auditorium to once again be a place of creativity, innovation, education and inspiration!
